Dear Governor Cuomo,
I oppose applications by CWM Chemical, (a Waste Management subsidiary,) to build a new hazardous waste landfill and lagoons near the shores of the Niagara River and the Great Lakes, about a mile from property housing all public schools for two towns.
As evident in regulation and the New York State Siting Plan, a CWM landfill and lagoons would be unsafe, unnecessary for economic or environmental purposes, unfair, and not in the public interest. A massive new toxic waste and PCB dump is incompatible to an area New York seeks to make a world-class tourist destination. Please deny the CWM applications.
